How Can You Help?

One of the things of which we are most proud at the Amelia Trust farm is the fact that we spend so little on administration and maintenance costs. For such a complex site, used by so many different groups of people, this is no mean feat. The secret is that we have a superb gang of volunteers who enthusiastically and skilfully get the jobs done. If you think that you might like to join this special crew, please contact us on 01446 782030 or email us at general@ameliatrust.org.uk and we will send you a volunteer pack. Here are some of the ways that you might be able to help but if you have skills in another area that could be used on the farm, let us know.

Visitor Centre
We are always looking for volunteers to join the team who run our visitor centre. It is, in so many ways, the heart of the Farm, offering a warm welcome, even when it rains. If you can spare some time, give us a call.

Tour Guides
Throughout the summer months we are visited by many groups, ranging from school groups to pensioner outings! If you see yourself as a potential guide for informal tours around the site then give us a call.

Maintenance
We are blessed with a gang of “Mr Fixits” that any TV makeover programme would be proud to call its own. They turn up for a few hours each week and sort out all the problems that have been causing difficulties somewhere on the site. If you feel that you could add your skills to this motley crew, give us a call.

Tutors
Not only the youngsters who come to the farm for training and experience, but also by a variety of other groups use our workshops. Our instructors welcome some help in preparing as well the conducting of these sessions. If you can help, give us a call.

Gardeners
Around the site there are numerous plants and trees that require constant tending. With a large woodland area, any expertise in horticulture would be much appreciated.

Awaydays
What about a team-building day, doing something totally different from your everyday job? Interested? Give us a call if you think that your company could take on a project at the farm or email general@ameliatrust.org.uk

It is a matter of fact that every charity needs money…and we are no exception.
Please consider making a donation to us,….we promise to make excellent use of the money.

We have plenty of ideas of how people could give us money!! If you would like to link a donation to the care of a specific animal, you can adopt one.
