The Amelia Trust Farm Site
Donated to the Methodist Church, the Amelia Trust Farm is a working farm on a 160 acre lowland site and is easily accessible from Cardiff and surrounding areas. Historically a livestock farm, it now boasts animals, oak, ash, and hazel coppiced woodland, ponds and a natural wetland meadow linked together with a network of paths.

The
site has no fixed entrance fee to visiting families so we rely on
people donating what they can afford. We maintain a delicate balance of
people from all walks of life on the farm; young people, adults with
learning difficulties, school visits, international work camps, and the
public. The opportunity to enjoy countryside is thus accessible to all.
The
Trust carries a varied selection of animals, farmed by the Trust farm
officer
and young people who attend the Trust on a daily basis. Hens kept for eggs,
pigs, sheep, beef cattle are farmed commercially whilst horses, donkeys,
goats, rabbits, farm cats, guinea pigs, degus, chipmunks and various poultry
are kept for the enjoyment of children, young people, and public visiting
the Trust.
