School visits to Amelia Trust Farm

The Amelia Trust Farm is regularly visited by primary and secondary schools from across south Wales. As a working farm children can view and (smell!) various animals face to face, learning about animal life and gaining an idea of where food comes from. Children may also explore a number of different habitats; woodland, field pasture, and wet meadow using a number of family friendly paths. We have also recently built a children's outdoor shelter which will provide outdoor cover for up to 40 people.

If you are planning to bring a school group we would also recommend that you make a pre visit yourself in order to familiarise yourself with the site and double check that our facilities are suitable for your needs. We are happy for school groups to arrange various activities – treasure hunts, nature walks, pond dipping; please contact us regarding suitability.

We charge £2.00 per person (2010/2011 season) for children and adults who are part of a school visit and can cater for a maximum of two coaches per day. All school visits will need to fill in a visit booking form. Please contact general@ameliatrust.org.uk for further details.
