My wife Lynda and I have been volunteering at Amelia for almost 18 years, Lynda in the coffee shop and me on the Finance Committee.

My father was a farm worker in the Lake District and so i was brought up on a farm with lots of sheep and cows.

I have a degree in History from Manchester University and spent 32 years in Barclays Bank concluding my career there as a Regional Director in charge of Banking Operations in Wales. I then went to work for the Welsh Assembly Government as Chief Executive of the Welsh European Funding Office.

I am now retired  but am very busy as a School Governor in Llantwit Major and also an active member of Rotary and Probus. I am a keen golfer for the Seniors Society at Cottrell Park.
