Vanessa Hall

Animal Care Supervisor

Expand

'Hi there, I'm Vanessa and I'm an Animal Care Supervisor at the Farm. You'll generally find me with the ponies and donkeys, as I'm currently studying for an HND in Equine Studies. Next year, I'm attending Coleg Sir Gar in Carmarthen, for my BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare.

Fun Fact - My grandparents took me to a Gymkhana when I was three years old, and whilst on a pony ride, the pony bolted with me! The staff finally caught up with the pony, with me still on board... and I’ve had an affinity for them ever since!

GROW Team Leader & Safeguarding Lead

Expand

I started my path into education in 2005 as a youth worker for a youth provision in Cathays. Since then I have spent time teaching English in South Korea and I also worked in Special Education in New Hampshire, USA. I have recently returned to the UK and found the perfect position for me – GROW Team Leader at Amelia Trust Farm. I am excited to take on this new role working with the young people and the animals.

Fun Facts – I speak a fair amount of Korean and I recently started open water swimming at Barry island.

Gabriella Gardner

Marketing and Fundraising Officer

Expand

Hi, I’m Gabriella! I started working at the Farm in March 2020 as the Marketing and Fundraising Officer. I had worked in the Media Industry for the past six years but felt ready for a new challenge within a new sector and thought the Farm would be the perfect fit for me – I was right and I love it here!

Fun facts – two of my main hobbies are singing and playing the harp! I love socialising and road trips, especially if it’s a trip to the beach! I have a dog named Billy who I rescued from a dogs home in Spain and a cat called Felix who is eighteen years old. I'm also a fluent Welsh speaker and love anything Wales related!

Jack Evans

Animal Care Supervisor

Expand

Hi, I'm Jack! I'm one of the Animal Care Supervisors at the Farm. I first came to the Farm in 2015 for work experience, fell in love with the place and never left! I'm now studying at Bristol Vet School but come back to the Farm as much as possible - I'd miss the animals way too much if I didn't!

Fun fact - outside of work and University, my English Bull Terrier puppy Rio keeps me busy! He's only a baby but weight 20KG so is a bit of a handful!
