Our programme for 11- 13 years old focuses on behavioural management and social integration.  At this stage of a young person's development, parents/carers are no longer the main influence but are still important.  The need to 'fit in' is a major factor which can lead to unresolved feelings of inadequacy and inferiority among peers. A young person develops an identity based on their social integration with friends and family.

Key elements of our intervention include:

  • Assessing the needs of the individual
  • Feeling of security/sense of belonging
  • Increasing motivation levels
  • Developing a sense of purpose through vocational education
  • Pastoral support
