Funded by BBC Children in Need, our 16- 18 years old provision is centred on the needs of the individual who may be facing multiple disadvantages such as leaving care, learning disabilities, feeling isolated and vulnerable.  Each activity in this programme has an underpinning emotional intelligence theme to help the individual learn to express their feelings and needs within a social setting.  Staff are committed to providing a nurturing environment and understand the importance of establishing productive relationships with our young people.  They consider the benefits of each activity from the young person's perspective.

Key elements of our intervention include:

  • Improving emotional vocabulary
  • Getting to know myself - developing life skills and self-management skills
  • Work experience and career development
  • Enterprise development
  • Qualifications in animal care
