Charlotte's fundraising!

On Saturday 28th March 2020 Charlotte, our Occupational Therapy Assistant, should have been participating in running the Vale Ultra Race (32 miles) to raise funds for Amelia Trust Farm and help young people, like Daniel, who was diagnosed with dyspraxia at the age of 7. He really struggled in High School where he was bullied. His mental health deteriorated and he was referred for specialist support but refused to speak to anyone. Daniel became so anxious that he would not leave his bedroom and started to receive out-of-school tuition but he would not engage with his tutor. He was referred to Amelia Trust Farm where he soon started to talk to staff about his issues in the therapeutic environment of the Farm. Daniel’s mum can’t believe the difference in his self-confidence levels and commented “He was totally lost and would not leave the house but now he looks forward to coming to the Farm. He feels safe and it is such a lovely place to be. He has made friends and he has learned so much about the animals. It really has changed his life.”

Unfortunately, this event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak but we look forward to supporting Charlotte once the run gets rearranged.

Laura's fundraising!

I am a Friend of the Farm and visit often with my two children. It’s one of my favourite places. My Dad volunteers there and my Nan was a supporter in the past.

I’d like to raise money for the Amelia Trust Farm to support the fantastic work they do for our community.
It’s one of my favourite places to go.
