Our Mission

Based in the Vale of Glamorgan, the Amelia Trust Farm is a countryside sanctuary for all to enjoy. As a registered charity, we believe no one should be excluded from society. We have a long and proud history of providing therapeutic support to disadvantaged and vulnerable people in a Care Farm setting.

During term-time we run a programme for young people who are struggling in mainstream education perhaps because they have suffered abuse or neglect or are statemented with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD or autism. They think that society has given up on them and feel worthless and that life has nothing to offer them.  Without the right type of care and support this highly vulnerable group enter adulthood without the life skills people need to cope let alone succeed.

We also extend our caring and nurturing environment to adults with learning disabilities and we are open to the general public throughout the year. With woodland walks, animals to see, play areas and a café there is plenty to do and enjoy.

Our vision is to provide the best appropriate support for disadvantaged and vulnerable people within a Care Farm setting and to be an educative countryside sanctuary for all to enjoy.

 Our mission is to:

  • To provide alternative educational interventions to meet the needs of vulnerable groups where gaps exist in current provision.
  • To provide facilities to the local community.
  • To encourage visitors to enjoy the countryside.
  • To ensure financial and environmental sustainability.
